Junior Buyer

Our prestigious Engineering client, based in Norwich, is looking for a Junior Buyer to join their team.


As the Junior Buyer, you will carry out a procurement and logistics function, in conjunction with the Operations Manager, as well as maintain and develop further relationships with existing customers.


Job Objectives/Responsibilities:

To assist the Operations in maintaining and supporting the growing customer base, both in the UK and Overseas.
Research and source new customers as required to continue the planned growth of the division.
Maintain and manage the CRM data base.
Manage the incoming components from customers and record information accordingly – checking all paperwork against part number and quantity.
Complete all legally required shipping paperwork and arrange shipping overseas.
Attend customer meetings and exhibitions as required by the business.

The desired candidate will ideally have previous experience within a Buyer role, working in a fast paced environment.


You will have excellent communication skills as well as strong problem solving skills. You will be numerically minded, ensuring proficiency and accuracy at all times.


The ideal candidate will be a confident, driven individual. You will have the ability to think on your feet and adapt to your ever changing workload.


Experience in Oil and Gas and/or engineering is advantageous however not a necessity.
